Madison was rescued from the dangerous streets of Houston. It was a very hot day and she was running, dehydrated, and hungry. We could see that she was lost and stopped to try to approach her. Not only did Madison come to us, but she let us pick her up like a baby and hug her. Needless to say, within a few minutes, Madison was riding in the passenger seat of the car with her nose in the air conditioner on the way to the vet. Madison has a great home and is the sweetest thing! She loves everyone and loves to play with her friends.

Poppy, the Chihuahua, was rescued from behind a dumpster in Long Beach, California. She had been badly abused and had broken ribs, a broken leg, and had lost the ability to bark or make noises. She was so scared of humans that she wouldn’t come out of the kennel for 3 months except to run out to do her business, then run right back in as long as no one was around. It takes a LONG time to gain Poppy’s trust, but when you do, you see her funny little personality come thru. She wants attention, but it has to be on HER terms! She’s a doll!

Super Cooper was adopted from the SPCA with our help. Cooper had heart worms and stuck his nose under the gate crying and begging. His mom couldn’t stop going back to his cage. He was matted all over and didn’t even remotely resemble the handsome guy he is today. He’s a lover, and he takes care of everyone. He cleans and grooms the other dogs and is most attentive to the emotions of his humans. Cooper has a heart bigger than Texas, where he lives with his brother and sister.

Radar looks like a pit-mix with crazy ears! Another dirty, hungry, thirsty baby with a bloated stomach from malnutrition, he was asking for help. It was probably in the 90’s outside, and he seemed overcome by exhaustion. He wanted to sleep on our laps the entire day, which is probably the first peaceful sleep he had ever had. We got him checked out and necessary medical, and now he has a forever home!
